TAP Impact Report
The Purdue University Technical Assistance Program (TAP) provides high-value solutions to increase the productivity of Indiana’s state and local governments and increase the profitability of businesses, both in Indiana and around the world. TAP affiliated services and organizations include; cyberTAP, Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), HealthTAP, and the TAP Innovation Development Program (TAP InDev),. Each group utilizes Purdue staff, faculty, and students to provide world-class consultation and education to organizations across the state.
Year over year, TAP has leveraged the state’s investment and amplified it. In 2023 alone, TAP turned $1.9 MM into $15.2 MM in economic impact by providing services for 83% of Indiana counties, training over 5,420 individuals, and improving over 532 employers. We are only getting started.

Annual Impact
TAP has accomplished much this year. We have been working tirelessly to make a positive impact and be champions for our communities and partners. As a team, TAP has provided over 3,000 hours of no-cost technical assistance to Hoosier businesses, generated over $850 million back into the economy, performed over 152 on-site cyber assessments (23 of which were for local government entities), and reduced wait times for a healthcare partner by 80% during a single project.
