Doug Hanawalt

Responsibilities:

Doug is the Lead Productivity Improvement Specialist for Purdue MEP which provides high-value, affordable solutions to help manufacturing businesses increase profitability.

Background:

Doug has over 25 years of experience in the manufacture of automotive components including several manufacturing engineering and operations management positions. The majority of his career was spent with Ford Motor Company where he was responsible for various manufacturing operations in high volume, close tolerance machining, and assembly operations including a/c compressors, power steering pumps and rack, and pinion steering gear components. Doug earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and a Master of Science degree in Operations Management from Kettering University.
